Shawnee resident Jeremy Wayne Burrows, formerly of Davenport, was born June 9, 1978, in Pawnee to David Burrows and Mary Meadows and departed this life Friday, April 30, 2010, in Stroud at the age of 31.
He was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation and worked as a water meter installation foreman.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Joyce Burrows and Kathleen Harrison Meadows. He is survived by his children, Brayden Burrows and Lillian and Elizabeth Burrows, all of Shawnee; close friend, Amy Smith of Shawnee; parents, David Burrows and Mary Meadows of Davenport; four brothers, Daniel Burrows of Davenport, Chance Rich of Chandler, Chance Messengale of Davenport and Chris Stremlow of Meeker; four sisters, Misty Lewis of Tryon, Katy Burrows and Jerrica Rich, both of Davenport, and Cheyenne Stremlow of Meeker; grandparents, Rip and Peggy Burrows of Davenport and Buster Meadows of Coweta; and many other relatives and friends.
Wake service was held 6 p.m. Monday, May 3, at the Sac and Fox Community Center in Stroud. Interment will be 11 a.m. at the Sac and Fox Cemetery Tuesday, May 4, Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
