Remains will lie in state at 2223 St. Louis avenue up to 10 a.m., Thursday May 27. Funeral from residence 8607 Clifton avenue, Jennings, MO at 2 p.m. to St. Paul's M.E.
South, 1327 St. Louis avenue, thence to Bellefontaine Cemetery.

St. Louis Post Dispatch, May 26, 1920According to a contibutor who wants to be anonymous, Philip Harold Becker was a seaman second class Rank Sea-RF, US Naval Reserve Force. He enlisted 28 April 1917 in Boston, MA. He served aboard Submarine Chaser No. 148. He died 8 May 1918 in Base Hospital No. 5, France. He was buried in Military Cemetery in Brest, France. His next of kin listed in the "US Casualties Book 1917-1918" was his mother, Leona Becker of 8607 Clifton Avenue in St. Louis, MO. It apparently is a memorial only at Bellefontaine. He appeared in 1900 census living with his parents and grandparents.
