On July 15 1822 a boy was born at 3 AM to the colonist Lorentz Bock and to his wife Victoria Kurtz. He received the name Lorentz at baptism. Witnesses Joseph Koy, Theresia Kirchner.

Lorentz married Maria Knapik

On January 16th, 1848 were married: Lorentz Bock cottager in St. Carmerau, and Maria Knapik, daughter of Albert Knapik from Kreuzthal, Colonist.

Witnesses: Albert Mrochen, Stephan Goletz

Unmarried young man and damsel, he is 28 (26), she is 20

Lorenz and Maria had 4 children before immigrating to the United States around 1855. Before coming to America he served in the Prussian Army and upon discharge received permission to leave the country.

They settled in Lima, Sheboygan, Wisconsin and took up farming around 1856 where they had another 5 children, Mathias, Theodor, Maria, Susanna, and Anton.

Mrs. Bock died Feb 9, 1865 at the age of 37.

Mr. Bock remarried to Catharine Schmitling Nov. 24th 1868.

He died in May 1878 at the age of 55 leaving the following will:

His will, with no date, reads as follows: "I, Lorenz Bock, give and bequeath to my wife Catharine Bock $600 in lieu of her dower in my estate and some personal property. I give and bequeath remainder of my estate, real and personal, to my 6 (living) children."
