Joyce Ann Pollock Amos, 82, of Boones Mill, Va., passed away Monday, May 24, 2010. She was a member of Red Hill Brethren Church where she worked in the nursery and was president of the Womens Fellowship. She was a lifetime caregiver of children. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilford H. Amos and a brother, William "Billy" Pollock. Surviving family include sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and Deneen Amos and Jeffery Amos; grandchildren, Steven Amos and wife, Mandy, Cristin Amos, Wil Amos, Logan Amos, Austin Amos and Cody Amos; great-grandchild, Chase Amos; special friend, Shirley Horsley and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Red Hill Brethren Church with Pastor Tony Emmons and the Rev. Whitey Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Amos Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Roanoke.
