W.T. Foran Rites Held
Requiem Mass for William T. Foran, 69, a consulting geologist, was said this morning in Holy Rosary Church. Burial, directed by the Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home, was in Holyrood.
Mr. Foran, born and reared in Seattle, died of a heart ailment Saturday.
Mr. Foran was a petroleum engineer in the Middle East for the Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey from 1936 to 1941. In that year Mr. Foran was given a rug from King Feisal of Iraq in recognition for Mr. Foran's services to the country and friendship for the King's two nephews.
Mr. Foran was a Navy veteran of the Second World War. He returned here in 1954 after a career which took him to many parts of the world.
Survivors are his wife, Mary M., at home, 2116 Alki Av. S.W.; a son, William L. Foran, Oceanside, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Henthorn, San Bernardino, Calif.; three brothers, Harold, Lewiston, Idaho, John, Lakewood, Colo., and Lester Foran, Corpus Christi, Tex., and six grandchildren.
