My grandma was one of the strongest people I knew, she helped anyone who needed her help, and many people held her in their hearts for this. My mom and I lived with my grandma for almost all of my life, I saw her everyday from age 7 until I was 22. She always participated in my school activities and my mom used to say "she loved me special". She was married to my grandpa George on June 14, 1947 (Flag Day). The had 9 children together, 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. My grandma had been very sick the last 5 years of her life due to a heart attack and the stints placed in her heart which caused a stroke. My uncle lived with her and cared for her very well for those last years. I had moved away 3 years after she got sick and didn't see her as much as before. She passed away with her family near her in the quiet of the night, peacefully as it should be. I loved my grandma very much and my whole family will miss her forever.
