Barb was born Oct. 31, 1934, in East Peoria to Fred R. and Evelyn Riddle Brinker. She married Bert L. Bogard on May 3, 1952, in Virginia Beach, Va.
Surviving is her husband, Bert, of East Peoria; her two sons, Lee (Debra) Bogard Jr. of East Peoria and Marty Bogard of Peoria; two daughters, Pamela (Joe) Tanner of Deer Creek, Ill., and Kathy (David) Nelson of Peoria; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Carl Brinker of East Peoria, Ronald Brinker of Chillicothe, Harley Brinker of East Peoria and Alan Brinker of Decatur, Ill.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dale Brinker.
Barb worked for Bergner's Department Store in Pekin and as a secretary for Lincoln Middle School and Central Jr. High School in East Peoria.
Barb was a member of the Church of Christ in East Peoria.
Barb loved to travel and resided in Florida for 10 years with her husband, Bert. Barb returned to East Peoria to be closer with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Her life revolved around her family. Barb's eyes would light up just at the sight of her grandchildren.
Interment will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
