Everet Ward Baker was born in Seward County, Nebraska, January 21, 1898. He moved with his parents to Newkirk, Oklahoma, at the age of two years and a short time later came with them to his home near Farry, where he spent his boyhood.

He was united in marriage to Lenora Vincent April 24, 1919. To this union were born three children, Devain Gerald age 4 years, Lynn Vincent, age three years, and Robert Blakley, age 13 months, all of whom are left to mourn his early demise.

Besides his wife and children, he leaves a dearly beloved mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. P.N. Moon of Farry, and one sister, Mrs. J.W. Downen, also of Farry, and one brother A. H. Baker, of Nebraska and a host of friends.

He departed from this life at the Alva Hospital, April 3, 1924, at the age of 26 years, 2 months and 13 days. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, near Farry, by Rev. C. L. Wallace, Pastor of the Alva M.E. church.
