Albert D. Simmons, Jr. graduated from the Mississippi State University in 1949 with a degree in Engineering. He married Martha Smith on 6 August 1950 at West Point. He was an inactive reserve engineering officer in the U. S. Public Health Service. After the death of his father, Albert Jr. continued with the family business, West Point Manufacturing Company, until his untimely death on 13 February 1969. He was survived by his wife and his daughter, Cynthia Boyd Simmons.
