Obituary:
Carl W. BRIGGS, Of 8009 13th Ave. South St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Altoona died suddenly at 2508 10th St., Altoona, yesterday, June 28, 1974, at 4:30 p.m. He was born in Altoona on Aug. 6, 1904, a son of Guy W. and Edna (Smith) Briggs. He was twice married, first to Jacquelyne Richardson, who died July 28, 1964; then to Helen G. Underwood of Florida. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Jack K. of Altoona and James E. of State College. Mr. Briggs was owner of Briggs Marine Finance Co. in St. Petersburg. He was retired from the Air Force Officers Association. Friends will be received at the Axe Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
