MACOMB -- Roseanna "Rosie" Brown, 50, of 716 E. Washington died at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 1993, at McDonough District Hospital.
Born Oct. 3, 1942, in Industry Township to Harold and Helen Hollenback Brown, she married Robert McGaughey on Dec. 7, 1959, in Macomb. He died in 1967. She later married Conrad Barrett on Nov. 1, 1968.
Surviving are her mother of Macomb; one grandmother, Janie Hollenback of Macomb; three daughters, Cheri Kimbley and Glenda McGaughey of Kingdom City, Mo., and Tammy Polston of Mexico, Mo.; one son, Robert McGaughey of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Donald Brown of Henry; and eight grandchildren. Her father preceded her in death.
A member of the Illinois Nursing Association, she was a licensed practical nurse at St. Luke's Christian Hospital in Beardstown. She also was a licensed practical nurse tutor at Spoon River College and was working of her registered nurse certificate.
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clugston- Tibbitts Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Seabaugh will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, to McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program or to Rosie Brown Scholarship for a nursing student at Spoon River College.
