Mack Shannon "Shan" Bryson was the son of Samuel Harrison "Sam" Bryson b. 1848 TN and Sarah M. "Sallie" McKnight b. 1848 Cannon Co., TN.
Shan Bryson married Natalie "Nettie" McDonald about 1911. This marriage ended in divorce. Shan Bryson had custody of their five children but when it became impossible for him to care for and support them, they were placed in the Corsicana Orphans Home.
His obituary states he left six small children but only 5 names are known at this time.

1. Floyd Jack Bryson b. 1912 Navarro Co., TX; d. 1963 Rusk Mental Hospital, Rusk, TX. He married Adell Sanders.
2. Helen Bryson b. 1913 Navarro Co., TX. She married Allie Lee Conyers.
3. Mac Shannon "Mack" Bryson b. 1915 Navarro Co., TX, d. 1976 Kaufman Co., TX. He had married twice but was not married at the time of his death in an automobile accident. He was living at Wills Point, TX abt. 5 miles north of Dallas, TX off hwy 80. He was working as a line printer for the Dallas Morning News at the time of his death.
4. Inez Bryson b. 1917; she married Buny Tucker.
5. Sallie Bryson b. 1920.
