Born July 17, 1938 in Kilkenny, Ireland, she was the daughter of Michael and Christina Burke Traynor.
Philomena came to America in 1956 and was a resident of Montrose before moving to Lake Carmel. She married Roger Duclos in Tarrytown in 1959. Philomena was a member of the Ladies AOH, Kitty Geissler Division 11.
She was a loving mother and adoring grandmother. She loved traveling especially with her brother on their annual trip home to Ireland.
She is survived by her children Kevin (Stephanie) of New York City, Brian (Maria) of Carmel, Yvonne (William Shrubb) Duclos of Stormville and Noel of Danbury, CT. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael of San Diego and Kenny and Michelle of Carmel as well as her brother Eddie (Brenda) Traynor of England and her sisters-in-law Gloria (Red) Schiavi and Lillian Duclos. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger, in 2006 as well as her three brothers.
A visitation will be held at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME on Friday (today) from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Church at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
