Mrs. Brooks, a resident of McIntosh County for 15 years, died at her home at Checotah, Sunday, July 19, 1959, after a long illness. She was a native of Ozark, Arkansas and was a member of the Church of Christ in Checotah, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, F. M. of the home; a son, C. H. Clark, Gridley, California; five daughters, Mrs. Mae Crabtree of Gridley, Mrs. Vera Maynard of Panama, Oklahoma, Mrs. Bertha Sims of Concord, California, Mrs. Opal Lance of Richmond, California and Mrs. Della Smith of Goodson springs, Nevada; a sister, Mrs. Delia Casey of Booneville, Arkansas, and four brothers, C. C. Pierce and L. C. Pierce both of Sallisaw, P. E. Pierce of Prairie Grove, Texas, and Frank Pierce of Hawthorne, California.
