Elizabeth Ann Bowen was the daughter of Henry Lawless and married JT Bowen on 12.06.1866 in Alabama. They had six children: Margaret Permelia"Maggie",Young Pascal,Sarah Ann Frances,Amanda Syble"Manda", Stephen Willis and Henry Woodford. All of these children were born in Cottondale, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
The family arrived in Texas, December 1878, traveling by train that used wood for fuel. In 1879, the family moved to Llano County and bought 75 acres of land about a half mile from Lone Grove on Little River.
Elizabeth died the following Feb 1880. Two children preceded her in death, Sarah Frances and Amanda Syble.
