Obituary - Kerrille Mountain Sun, April 15, 1926

Mrs. Gluthe (Gilletha) Blevins was born in Georgia and moved to Texas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Stidhorn (Stidham), when a child.
In the year of 1869 she was married to J.C. Blevins. To this union were born eight children: Mrs. M. G. (Martha Gene 'Mattie' Essary Boster)Baster, Hackett, Ark.; Mary Ellen Blevins, deceased; Chas K. Blevins,
Mountain Home; J. L. (James Lewis) Blevins, Childress; Mrs J. H. (Georgia) Griffin, Hunt; Mrs. R. H. (Elizabeth) Thompson, Mountain Home; Mrs. R. L. (Emma) Pendley, Leakey; Mrs. W. W. (Esther Beulah) Wilson, Hunt.
Her husband died March 29th, 1888, leaving her to rear her family of seven children alone, but she was faithful and energetic through all.
She professed a faith in the Primitive Baptist doctrine many years ago and remained strong in belief until the end.
She had been a helpless invalid for the past five years, suffering from a complication of diseases. On April 1st, at 4:26 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs, W. W. Wilson, her prayers were answered when she passed to her eternal happiness, after all had been done that friends and relatives could do for her.
As a faithful mother and patient Christian character she shall be remembered by all who knew her. The body was laid to rest in the family cemetery, eight miles from Leakey, Friday evening, April, 2.
Funeral services were held at the grave, E. L. Griffin officiating.

A FRIEND.
