Savoy, Texas -- Elizabeth Louise Sharp Blount was born September 5, 1925 in Bells, Texas. She married Willie Frank Blount February 15, 1947. Louise passed away on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. She was the oldest of seven children, the last remaining sibling born to John and Myrtie Atnip Sharp.

Louise graduated Valedictorian from Savoy High School and played first string on the basketball team. A woman of strong faith, she was a member of the Church of God, a worldwide association in Sherman, Texas. She was always very active in community fundraisers and PTA. She loved hosting wedding and baby showers.

Louise loved her family and was a caregiver from a very young age, taking care of family gave her great pleasure.

Elizabeth Louise Sharp Blount was preceded in death by her husband and parents and is survived by her son Gerald Blount and his wife Sharon of Bells, daughter Gloria Lusk and her husband John of Grand Prairie, four grandsons and their wives and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy, Texas. Elder John Lusk will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Louise’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Foundation Outreach International.
