JENNINGS -- Funeral services for
Mrs. Eileen Blessington Allen, 88, will be at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 5, in Miguez
Funeral Home. The Rev. Dick Scott-Welch will officiate. Burial will be in
Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. Mrs. Allen died at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, in the Sulphur hospital. A native of Jennings, she was
a resident of Beaumont, Texas, for 22 years, returning to Jennings in 1957.
She was a graduate of Jennings High School class of 1928 and of Port Arthur
Business College. She was a retired clerk for the city of Jennings with 15
years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors
include two daughters, Shirley Allen of Sulphur and Judith Marvel of Houston;
one sister, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Siebenthaler of Bellevue, Ky.; four
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
