Mrs. Mary Estella Askin, 91, of Hardinsburg, died Saturday, June 17, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg. She was born in Breckinridge County, March 16, 1887, the daughter of the late F.C. and Betty Ryan Ruppert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Askin in 1960. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J.T. DeJarnette, and a son, Ruppert Askin, both of Hardinsburg; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the St. Romuald Catholic Church, Hardinsburg, with the Rev. A.J. Meiring, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.
