Blanche Laurene Huggins, 99, of Wenatchee, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Colonial Vista Care.
She was born and grew up in Iowa.She later lived in Wisconsin, where she worked as a nurse before moving to Wenatchee in 1944. She had done general and private duty nursing in the Wenatchee area, and taught nursing arts at Wenatchee Valley College for two years before retiring in 1969.
Survivors include a stepson, Don Huggins of Wenatchee; and a sister, Marie Neher of Seattle.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee, the Rev. Kel Groseclose officiating. Services will conclude at the church, with private internment at Hillcrest Mausoleum in the Wenatchee Cemetery. Viewing will be 3 to 8pm today at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
