MRS EMMA APPLER
After a lingering illness of complications, death this morning at 6:40 claimed Mrs. Emma Appler, wife of George Appler, well known citizen, the final summons coming at the home, 1309 Hutchins Street. Mrs. Appler had been bedfast three weeks. She was 70 years, 1 month, and 27 days old when claimed by death.
Mrs. Emma Appler was formerly Emma Musser and daughter of the late Joseph and Hester Musser . The mother passed away six years ago this month. All of her life was spent in the city and for some years she lived at Eleventh and Waller Streets.
Surviving are the husband, five children, Jesse and George of Detroit, Joseph of Columbus, Mrs. Mary Busch of Portsmouth and Mrs. Cora Bailey of Youngstown. She also leaves six grandchildren, Mrs. Freda Gilliland and Larry Busch of this city, Forest and Helen Appler of Detroit, and two by the name of Harry Appler of Columbus and three great-grandchildren, Flo, Warren and Etta Jane Gilliland of this city. Also surviving are three half-brothers, Barney, Albert and Charles Donley of this city, and three half sisters, Mrs. Viola Hall of White Sulphur Springs, VA; Mrs. Sarah Roe of Athens and Mrs. Rebecca Wagner of Ironton.
