Gerdie as she was called is buried beside her only daughter Alice Gertrude Weeks Lasseter.(Photo of Gerdie's children included in this web page). Gerdie died from non-epidemic spinal meningitis of a 10 day duration. She was the daughter of James Stephen "Steve" Partin & Sindarilla "Rilla" Mann Partin. They are also buried on the same row. Gerdie had one son, Lester Cecil Weeks. He took his own life and is buried in Salisbury National Cemetery in North Carolina. Gerdie's daughter Alice had three daughters who in honor of their mother while she was still living, got together and had a "memory" stone for Lester placed at the gravesite of their Grandma Gerdie. Gerdie was the wife of Cecil Allen Weeks. He is buried in Palm Beach County, Florida. He remarried and fathered at least one more child, a male named Terry.
Gerdie was born on a Saturday and died on a Thursday at 32 years and 231 days of age.
