Johnnie Pearl Cole, retired farmer, died December 22, 1962 at his home at 4:45 a.m. He had been ill for some time. He was 77 years old. Services were held Sunday afternoon at Corinth Church with Bro. Harold Grissom and Gerald Yardborough officiating. Burial in church cemetery with Sharon Funeral Home. He married Katie Grooms Cole, who survived. He was a member of Corinth Church. Also surviving four sons James Cole, Sharon, R.J. and Trevie Cole of Chicago, Ill., Geraldine Cole of Memphis; a stepson Woodrow Grooms of Martin, daughter Mrs. Opal Adams of Sharon, and a half-brother Jim Cole of Sharon.
Pallbearers were Paul Wiseman, Billy Green, Sidney Ellis, Alf Prince, Lester Johnson and Frank Pierpoint.
