Bessie Kay Dennis
Longtime Farmers Branch resident Bessie Kay Dennis died Feb. 12. She was 80 years old.
Services were Feb 14 at Webb Chapel United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch.
Mrs. Dennis was born Aug 23, 1922, in Terrell. She worked as a cashier at Wyatt's Supermarket in Oak Cliff and retired from M. E. Moses in Farmers Branch. Family members said she was a devoted wife and mother, a wonderful cook and a creative homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George D. Dennis Jr. of Farmers Branch. The couple married Oct. 2, 1954.
Other survivors include her sister, Annie Pearl Briscoe of Scurry, Texas; daughters Vickie Pepperdine of Salt Lake City and Kimberly Fulton of Coppell; son, David Dennis of Dallas; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
