Adelia Ann Leftwich Alcock, 94, of Rt. 1, Evington, died at 12:05 p.m. Friday in Guggenheimer Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Her husband was the late Elijah Fletcher Alcock.

Born in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Lynch Adams Leftwich, Jr. and Julia Abbott Leftwich. She was a member of Forest Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Nelson and Olen Alcock; and two daughters, Margaret and Doris Alcock.

She is survived by three sons, Dallas R. Allcock of Rustburg, Arnold A. Alcock of Lynchburg and Randolph W. Alcock of Herndon; four daughters, Mrs. Reva (Claude) Williams of Herndon, Mrs. Myrtle (Winston) May of Rustburg, Mrs. Sarah (Harry) Reynolds of Bedford and Mrs. Eloise (Donald) Beckstrom of Norfolk; two brothers, Daniel S. Leftwich of Brownsville, Texas and Lynch E. Leftwich of Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Julia Leftwich Matthews of Lynchburg, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Baptist Church cemetery.
