Sister Elizabeth Ann Coyle, S.L., (Sisters of Loretto), age 78, of San Antonio, TX passed away on May 10, 2010 at home. Sister Elizabeth was born Dec. 10, 1931 in San Antonio to the late Arthur J. and Lydia Wimberly Coyle. Sister Elizabeth attended elementary school at St. Martins Hall in San Antonio, and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake High School in 1950. She graduated with a degree in Sociology in 1954 from Loretto Heights College in Denver, CO. She became a nun with the Sisters of Loretto in 1957 and taught school in many catholic schools. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, George B. and Harriet Coyle and John A. and Malford Coyle; nephew, Pat Coyle, and niece, Judy Coyle Tompkins. Survivors include nephews and their spouses; Tim Coyle of San Antonio, Mike and Lydia Coyle of Victoria, Douglas and Renie Coyle of Hondo, James Coyle and Janis Presley of Hondo, and Thomas K. Tompkins, DDS of Hondo; numerous grand nieces and nephews. The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will be open for visitation on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Interment will follow the Mass at the Hondo Cemetery, St. John's section.
