Carroll I Ober, Jr
Ashland — Carroll I Ober, Jr, 75, passed away at Speare Memorial Hospital December 7, 1995. He was the son of Carroll I Ober, Sr and Ella Newcity Ober. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Army in the South Pacific for four years. He was also a former member of the American Legion and VFW. Mr Ober was an auto mechanic for Central Motors for many years. He attended Laconia High School.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean; two sons, Carroll Ober, III of Penacook, and Glenn Ober of Ashland; one daughter, Carolyn Plante of Ashland; two brothers, Richard Ober of Franklin and Marvin Ober of Clearwater, Florida; eight granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 11 at the Ashland Baptist Church, Reverend Everett Palmer officiating. Burial followed at Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland. Donations may be made to the Pemi Baker Home Health Agency, Highland Street, Plymouth, NH or to the Ashland Fast Squad, c/o Merritt Fields, Thompson Street, Ashland, NH. Dupuis Funeral Home, Ashland, was in charge of arrangements. >The Record Enterprise, December 13, 1995.
