Ardmore, OK — Helen I. Binderim, 78, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Services will be Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Griffin-Hillcrest Chapel. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Helen was born October 5, 1931, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Frances Butler and Ruby (Renegar) Butler.

She married James Eugene "Gene" Binderim on June 26, 1948, in Ardmore.

Helen was a former resident of Sulphur and had lived in Dickson since 1959 having come from Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dickson and a member of the Southern Circle Square Dance Club. Helen was a 60 year member of the Dickson Home Extension Club. Helen also loved hunting for arrowheads.

Her father and husband, Gene, preceded her in death.

Helen is survived by her mother, Ruby Beasley of the home; one son, Gary Eugene Binderim of Kingwood, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Irene Binderim of Sulphur and Sue Kendall of Dickson; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters Frances Powell of Ardmore, Okla., and Hazel Okkonen of Wisconsin; four brothers, Earl Butler of Oklahoma City, Okla., Timmy Butler, Kenneth Butler and Stanley Butler all of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
