Born and raised in Wichita, Kan., she attended North High School and worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. In 1968, Dixie met her husband, Roy O. Cooper, and they would enjoy 42 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; daughters, Kaylene Pottorff and Deanne (Glenn) Earwood of Wichita, Angela Haidsiak of Las Vegas, Bernadine (Richard) Blackburn of Dodge City, Kan., Sherry Cooper and Toni (Steve) and Markus of Hutchinson, Kan.; sons, Bruce (Starla) Cooper of Hutchinson, and Roger Cooper of Temple, Texas; sister, Judy Clark of Wichita; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Private interment will take place at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
