Shirley Juanita Collier, 69, of Shenandoah, died on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1941, in Page County and was a daughter of the late Paul A. and Zethel Weaver May. Mrs. Collier graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1958. In her youth, she attended the Assembly of God in Shenandoah. She retired from Kroger after 18 years of service. On Nov. 27, 1958, she married Robert W. "Bob" Collier, who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Robert W. "Rob" Collier II of Shenandoah; one brother, Paul R. May of Shenandoah; two sisters, Kathleen Miller of Shenandoah, and JoAnn Foltz of Elkton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Austin; and a brother, Leroy May. A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, May 4, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton by the Rev. Billy King. Burial was in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.
