MRS. VAN DAKE ALLEN DEAD.
The Wife of W.F. Allen Passes Away
After Long Illness.
Mrs. A.D. Van Dake Allen, wife of Will F. Allen, assistant treasurer of the Jones Dry Goods company, died this morning at her home, 2305 East Twelfth street, at the age of 42 years.
Mrs. Allen was the daughter of Elder Van Dake, a well known minister in the Christian church. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her mother, Mrs. E. Van Dake, is now living near Harper's Ferry, Virginia. At Scottish castle, Boliver Heights, Virginia, is her sister, Mrs. W.F. Hallam. Mrs. Allen's death came after an illness of seven weeks.
The funeral will be held from the family home, 2305 East Twelfth street, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The body will be placed in Elmwood cemetery.
