MILDRED SMITH

Mildred Smith Hansen, 66, died Oct. 11, 1997 at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan following a long illness. She was born July 1, 1931 at her parents' home in Garden City to Charles and Vilate Hansen. She marrie Ross Smith Sept. 5, 1947, in Logan. They were later sealed for time and eternity together with their daughters in the Logan LDS Temple August 2, 1966. He preceded her in death April 9, 1997.

She served for many years as the Primary Secretary in the Garden City Ward. Millie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors and being with her family. She lived in Garden City until she was unable to live at home, then lived at the Sunshine Terrace until her death.

Mildred is survived by two daughters, Cathy Lee Weston of Lander, WY., and Ann Weston of Garden City; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Russell Hansen of Garden City, LaVarr Hansen and LeRoy Hansen of Ogden, Jack Hansen of Paris and one sister, Leah Barker of Evanston.

Funeral services were held Oct. 14 in the St. Charles LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Garden City Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.
