POCATELLO, Idaho - Mrs. Ruth Caroline Hansen, 82, resident of Pocatello 32 years died Tuesday night at a local hospital after an illness. She was born in San Bernardino, Calif., November 24, 1859, daugther of Harley & Ruth Sargent Mowrey. Her father was the last survivor of the famous Mormon Battalion and a founderof the city of San Bernardino, Calif. She came to Pocatello from St. Charles.

Mrs. Hansen is survived by four sons and three daughters: H.V. Hansen of Bloomington, Charles Hansen of Garden City, Utah, Ole W. Hansen, Delbert Hansen, Mrs. George Fewens, Mrs. Aldine Murray and Mrs. I.O. McLaughlin, all of Pocatello; 33 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Harriet Dingham of Los Angeles; and Mrs. Ella Dingham of San Francisco, and two brothers: Barton Mowrey and Uriah Mowrey, both of Vernal, Utah. She was a widow of Ole Hansen. They were married on 10 December 1872 at Evanston, Wyoming.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 9 a.m. in the LDS Sixth Ward chapel under the direction of the McHan mortuary and interment will take place in St. Charles.
