Niebuhr, August L. Gus passed away peacefully on Wed., Apr. 28, 2010 at the age of 91 at Laclede Groves Convalescence Home, after a courageous five year struggle with numerous health problems.

He was surrounded by his loving, devoted wife Lillie, of 55 years, by her family and friends.

Gus was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Lillian Niebuhr; his beloved daughter, Deborah Lynn Dalba, a victim of breast cancer in the prime of her life, in June, 2003.

He is survived by his dear wife Lillie and will be remembered as a cherished brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle, and super friend to many.

Retired as a Sergeant from the St. Louis Police Department after 33 years, 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, 60+ year Welston Lodge #613, Meridian Lodge #442, Director Emeritus Moolah Shrine Guide Unit and member of various Masonic organizations.

Gus was a WWII Veteran, discharged as a Master Sergeant after 4 years of service in the Air Force with duty in the C.B.I and the 308 Bomb Squad.
