Pearl B. Garey, 70, of Milford Center, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital. He had been ill one week.

A retired employee of the Ohio Orchard Co. where he had been associated 25 years; he was born Sept. 8, 1884, in Delaware County and had lived all his life in the Milford Center and Mechanicsburg area.

He was the son of Alonzo and Eliza Jane (Wilson) Garey and was married in 1906 to the former Annis Ferryman who survives.
Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Addis, Plain City, Mrs. Milton (Jesse) Schalip, Marysville, Mrs, Nettie Davis, Milford Center, Mrs. Floyd Newton, Xenia, and Mrs. Robert (Viola) Packman, Milford Center; three sons, Russell, Milford Center, Robert, Springfield, and Kenneth (Bud) of Urbana; a brother, Glenn Garey Milford Center; two sisters, Mrs Wilbur Dean, Marysville, and Mrs. Golda Britton, Springfield; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Postle-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Buster Hammons officiating. Burial will be in the Milford Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.

Pall bearers are David Schalip, Donald Addis, Gary Packman, Russell Garey, Jr., David Garey and Dale Bell.
