A celebration of life will be held for Donald Ray Deal, 78 of Eagle Bend on Saturday, April 24, at 2 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Donald pased away on Friday, April 16, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN.
Donald was born on October 23, 1931 in Callaway, Nebraska to Alfred and Alice (Gillett) Deal. He served in the US Army from 1952 - 1955. Don loved to spend time with his family, and was an avid sportsman. He will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Timothy and Daryl Deal; and sister, Doris Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Deal of Eagle Bend; son, Steve (Sue) Deal of Bloomington; daughters, Shelley (Brent) Lindstrom of St. Cloud, and Terri (Dick) Deal-Hansen of Sartell; brother,
Garry (Marilyn) Deal of Pomeroy, Washington; sister, Hazel Meadows of Tualatin, Oregon; 6 grandchildren, Emily and Caitlin Deal, Mitchell, Nathan and Ryan Lindstrom, Ana Deal-Hansen.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Browerville.
