Arlyn Ball was born August 23, 1933 in McKenzie County, ND. She grew up at Tower City, ND and graduated high school there. She married Jack Rice in Tower City. They made their home there where they raised six kids, farmed and ran the lumber yard with family. She worked at what is now Wells Fargo Bank in Valley City and later Tower City retiring after 25 years of service.
She married Allen Meyer on August 15, 2000 at Community Presbyterian Church in West Fargo, ND. They made their home near West Fargo and moved to Fargo in 2005. Arlyn was an active member in the Presbyterian Church both in Tower City and West Fargo.
She is survived by her husband, Allen; one son, Richard (Cindy) Rice, Mill Creek, WA; three daughters, Reta Rice, Fargo, Renee (Jerry) Short, Detroit Lakes, MN, Rosemary (Tim) Cruz, Morgan Hill, CA; two step-sons, Kent (Barb) Meyer, Colorado Springs, CO and David (Toni) Meyer, Hubert, NC; one brother, Russell (Ruth) Ball, Sebring, FL; three sisters, Shirley (Omar) Pederson, Ephrata, WA, Ardith (Jerry) Helgeson and Sharon (George) Bourbonnie both of Desert Aire, WA; grandchildren, Angie, Grant, John, Eric, Mike and Sabrina; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Markie, Alex, James and Kaitlyn; great grandchildren, Caleb and Hailey.
Arlyn was preceded in death by husband, Jack; son, Curtis; daughter, Patricia; step-son, Larry; brother, Roger; and sisters, Marilyn and Elaine.
Memorial Service: Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo.
Final Resting Place: Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City.
