Mary Ann Trotter
Mary Ann, the nine-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Trotter died Saturday morning after a several days’ illness. The baby had been in a serious condition for about a week.*
Mary Ann was born September 27, 1937 at Herndon. She leaves to mourn her passing, her father mother, one brother, James, besides her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Trotter, her maternal grandfather, J.T. Cunningham Kimball, Nebraska, three uncles, James Trotter of Herndon, Truman Trotter of McCook, and Oliver Trotter of Denver, Colorado; two aunts, Mrs. Pearl Capps, Kanona; and Mrs. Lily Beckwith, Dresden. She is also survived by five cousins.
Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary’s Church Sunday afternoon at two o’clock. The Reverend Father Walter O.M. Cap., was in charge of the services. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery. Pallbearers were Marcella Riepl, Frances Unger, Maxine Wilson and Myrtle Wolkensdorfer.
No stain was on her little heart,
Sin had not entered there.
And innocence slept sweetly on
That pale white brow so fair.
She was too pure for the cold earth
Too beautiful to stay.
So God’s holy angels bore
Our darling one away.

Card of Thanks
We desire to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness and assistance in the death of our darling. Also for the beautiful floral offerings, and the Reverend Father Waiter O.M. Cap., and those who assisted with the singing.
-Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Trotter, and the family
