Raleigh, Wake Co., NC—9 April 2003

 

ZEBULON—Bertha Pulley Alford, 96, lifelong resident of Zebulon, died Tuesday. "Miss Bertha" was the oldest member of Zebulon United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the DeElla Flowers Sunday School class.

           She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard H. Alford; and her brothers, James Pulley, Alton Pulley and Albert Pulley.

           Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, Zebulon United Methodist Church. Burial, Zebulon Cemetery.

           "Miss Bertha" is survived by her nieces and nephews and her greatnieces and great-nephews.

          ….Massey Funeral Home, Zebulon is serving "Miss Bertha's" family, 919-269-6600.
