She was united in marriage with Sidney Bevard on July 18, 1861. To this union were born six children, four of whom, one son and three daughters, are still living. After her marriage she resided in New Haven, Ohio, until 1878, when with her husband and family she moved to Defiance county, Ohio where she lived until the time of her death with the exception of four years spent with her daughter, Mrs. Geo. F. Benner at Quincy, Mich.
Besides her four children she leaves to mourn their loss seven grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, besides a large circle of friends and neighbors. Although her last illness continued for many months, she bore her suffering without a murmur and kept implicit faith in Him who doeth all things well.
Funeral services were held at Moat's Chapel, Ohio, and the remains were brought to Quincy Friday. Funeral services were held here at the Methodist church at 11 o'clock Saturday, Oct 30, in charge of Rev. R.D Freeman. She was laid at rest in Lakeview cemetery by the side of her husband and daughter, Mrs. Bennner.
