Beaulah Mae Gilliland, 75, North Stewart Street, Greensburg, died at 2:20 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 1992, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.

She was born July 5, 1916 in Greensburg, the daughter of Charles Robert and Mae Craig Douglas Howe. She had been retired from association with the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home for over 60 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and was a past president of Omega Chapter, Tri Kappa, and of Chapter T, P.E.O. Sisterhood. In P.E.O., she was known as a Golden Girl 50-year member. She was co-chairman of the Friendship and Talent Guild of the Presbyterian Church for many years and organized and co-chaired the Guild with Mrs. Jethro (Ann) Meek, from 1965 until Mrs. Meek's death.

The organization then was co-chaired by Gilliland and Mrs. Robert K. (Maelo) Rhodes. Gilliland and Meek also co-chaired the Greensburg Girl Scouts for many years, including the time when the scouts were taken into the Tulip Tree Council. She was a member of the Decatur County Historical Society, the Friends of the Library and the Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa. She was a member of the Greensburg High School graduating class of 1934.

On Jan. 18, 1936, she married Dallas Ray Gilliland in Greensburg and he preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1975. She is survived by a son, Charles E. Gilliland, Greensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Gregory A. (Ellen Jane) Wadsworth, Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Max T. (Carol) Clifton, Muncie, Ind.; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Rev. Dr. Thor Bogren and the Rev. Margaret Ann Lowe will conduct the services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg.

Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery.

Visitation is at the funeral home from noon on Sunday until 5 p.m.
