Jesse Thomas Balser, (Tommy), 67, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, December 22, 1996 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born May 30, 1929 son of the late Jesse G. Balser and Mary Camden Balser. He was retired from Ray Magnet Wire in Buena Vista. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Claytor Balser; three sons, Larry D. Balser of Madison Heights, Thomas Brian Balser of Bridgewater, and Jacob Gilmer Balser of Lexington; one daughter, Candace Bane of Glasgow; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joseph "Butch" Grow officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
