Mrs. Ben Bennett died at child birth Saturday, September 24, 1927, at the family home in Eureka, Kans. She was about 35 years of age.
As she was a former resident of Long Lane, the body was returned there for funeral and interment. Elder R. A. Blalock of Buffalo, conducted funeral services at the Long Lane Christian church Wednesday afternoon, September 28, following which interment was made in Pisgah cemetery 1.5 miles south-west of Long Lane.
Before her marriage she was Nora Buchanan, and is the daughter of Mrs. Edd Karr of Long Lane vicinity.
Her husband is a brother of George Bennett, rural route carrier, and a son of Mrs. Sarah Bennett, both of Long Lane.
Nora was buried together with her infant son. She was the first of three wives to Benjamin Harrison Bennett. She and Ben raised 3 children prior to her death.
