Sinclare Streetman, died at the home of his son, Mr. Lemuel Streetman, on Friday, the 27th of July, 1888. Mr. Streetman was for a long time, a citizen of Taylor County and was well beloved by all who knew him. He embraced the religion of Christ many years ago and joined the M.E. Church South, after which he connected himself to the Freewill Baptist church at Silver Run, and lived a consistent member until the day of his death. He was chosen as deacon of the Freewill Baptist church soon after his connection with that denomination and served the church in this capacity for a number of years, and was always faithful in the discharge of his duty. Brother Streetman, for several years before his death, became afflicted with a lung disease, and laboring under this terrible affliction, he was ever faithful as a watchman upon the wall of Zion; ever ready to do all the good, both in the church and in the community where he lived; and in the death of this, our father in Israel, the church has sustained a heavy loss, the community a good and useful neighbor, the county a useful citizen. He was a faithful, though aged companion; a good affectionate husband; a good, loving and exemplary father, but their loss is his eternal gain. It is so sad to say farewell husband! Farewell father!
