He graduated from Chandler High School in 1951 and married Darlene Miller Earp on Feb. 26, 1953.
Leon farmed and owned and operated a Grade A dairy for 42 years and then added beef cattle and quarter horses to his farming operation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparks.
Surviving him is his wife, Darlene, of the home; three sons, Dean and wife Becky, Carroll and wife Annette, and Gary and wife Susy, all of Chandler; one daughter, Barbara Sechrist and husband Craig of Apache; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Neer of Sallisaw; brother-in-law, Delroy Miller of Chandler; sister-in-law, Lorene Richardson and husband Flavious of Hobart; and brother-in-law, Lewis Miller and wife Carol of Chandler.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of Brown Funeral Parlor of Wellston.
