Obituary:
Pvt. L. E. Mincey, Statesboro
Statesboro, Ga., May 24 - Full military funeral services for Pvt. Leonard E. Mincey will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. H. Bunyan Loftin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Private Mincey, son of James M. Mincey of Brooklet, died in 1944 while serving with the Eighth Division 121st Infantry in France. Members of the American Legion, local national guardsmen and the VFW will participate in the funeral service.
Besides his father, Pvt. Mincey is survived by three brothers, Steve Mincey of Savannah, Leroy Mincey of Alabama and J. B. Mincey of Waycross and one sister, Mrs. Willie E. Faircloth of Brooklet. Barnes Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
