Andrew was the son of Levi and Mary Brown Anderson. Andrew attended school in Waynesburg,PA and Carmichaels,PA. Andrew married Margaret Chesney, they had 4 children. Mary, Elizabeth, Martha, Willie D &. After Margaret's death Andrew remarried Mary Waterfall Mutton (m 2-15-1877). They had one child, Erah Maude. Andrew left West Virgina in 1884 and resided at Lone Tree. Was a Justice of the Peace for Lone Tree, Postmaster Feb 21, 1861- April 7, 1890, and a Sergeant of IL 57th Volunteers of the Civil War. Promoted to lietenant after the battle of Shiloh. Was released April 24, 1863. The home(built apprx 1876) and farm that Andrew estab. is still in existence. His great-grandson resides in the house and farms the land.
