Alberts, LeRoy C. "Lee" Lee Alberts, 74, of Roselle, passed away at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines April 15. Lee was born in Chicago March 28, 1936. He was a beloved husband to Patricia (nee Seelig), loving father of Marc (Jennifer) Alberts, Tammy (Dan) Cheever, Kim (Jeff) Kase, William (Terry) Kase, and Joseph (Dorothy) Kase; dearest grandfather of Robyn, Andy, Kevin, Katie, Brandon, Ryan, Emily, Travis, Dylan and Nicholas. He was the dear son of the late Charles and the late Frances Alberts, devoted brother of Grace (John) Weir and Georgia (Paul) Pistorio; dear brother-in-law of Jerry Seelig, Michael (Lana) Seelig and the late Don Seelig. He was the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. After graduating from Taft High School in Chicago in 1954, Lee was a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Germany in the mid-1950s. Lee was a skilled and respected painter and decorator for 50 years, and his handiwork is on display in thousands of homes throughout the Chicago area. He had a lifelong love of fishing and, later in life, learned and greatly enjoyed golfing. He also played accordion and was a portrait artist of considerable talent. Lee will be remembered by his friends and family for his loving and generous nature and his easy laughter. He was a person you wanted to talk with when you met him. A funeral Mass will be held April 21 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Road, Schaumburg. Visitation was held April 18 at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Dr., Suite 800, Chicago IL 60601
