We, the admirers and family members of those buried in Pulaski Cemetery, have Harry Crain to thank. The Pulaski Cemetery record book kept by William Reynolds Hoyt (FindAGRave Memorial # 51282612) was in the Crain family collection in the 1940's when Harry M. Crain transcribed the burial information into a new book.

Per the library's archivist in 2010, the Tri-County Genealogical Society (aka Tri-County Historical Society) records containing the Crain Collection were donated to the Western Illinois University Archives and included both the original cemetery record and Harry's transcription. However, the archivist had to dispose of the original cemetery record due to mold.

Harry Crain married Mace Gardner late in life (1925) and they have no known children.
