Martin Killoren died at his home September 10, 1896 aged 71 years. The deceased was a native of Ireland and emigrated to this country in 1848 settling at Boston, Massachusetts where in 1852 he was married to Hannah Hennessy. He then removed to Griggsville, Illinois where he remained until 1883, coming that year to Brown county, where he has since resided. He was the father of 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls all living except one. His wife had preceeded him to the grave, dying about ten years ago. The funeral took place from St. Leo's Catholic church, Monday morning, the interrment being at St. Peter's. Mr. Killoren was a kind father, an affectionate husband and a good citizen. Who could ask for a better epitaph?
